I love taking mummy to the car boot sale at Thanestone near Inveruie (but only on a nice warm dry day).
She really enjoys it as she gets so many good bargains there.
There are so many different things for me to look at and smell it is a dream holiday time.
Disneyland or Thanestone?
It like Thanestone better than going to Disneyland in Florida (although I have not actually been there yet)!
But seriously who in their right mind would want to travel that far just to see someone dressed up as an overgrown mouse. It just does not make sense!
Thanestone is far far better especially as there are so many other dogs. Almost all of them want to come across and pay homage to me as a cute little doggie. Almost as nice is the number of humans who bow down to me and say I am absolutely gorgeous. They usually give me a stoke as well. I love it when they stroke me properly as it gives them such a thrill to meet me and I like to please them.
I think it is like people who go to the Vatican in Rome. They have to bow to kiss the Pope's hand. I wonder if the Pope will come and bow down to stroke me when we meet up. If he gives me a biscuit as a treat I will in return kiss his hand to say thank you.
I also get to see some countryside as well with lots of fields with what mummy calls sheep and cows. I don't get a chance to speak to them though as I am in the car or on the bus and they are often on the other side of the field. I remember once being able to get closer to see the sheep properly. Mummy kept me close to her but they ran away when they saw her.
A Very Special Car Boot Sale
This weekend coming is going to be a very special "car bootie" (as Mummy says). My Auntie Gail (that is her on the right) has asked Mummy and me to help her run a sale.
I don't think they would want me to take the money from people as I can't hold too many coins very well. The coins are the wrong shape for my paws. They should be designed like bones. I can hold them in my mouth.
It is time we had some equal opportunities legislation for us dogs. Humans like everything done for their convenience not ours.
Life is just not fair is it?
I think George (my Nephew) and his girlfriend Tracy is going to be there as well this week. So it is going to be absolutely the very best car bootie I will ever have been to.
I remember a couple of months ago Mummy and I were wandering around Thanestone. I spotted a giant bean bag chair. I loved the look of it. I just had to jump on and try it out for size and comfort.
It was so good I just lay down on it and wanted to stay there.
Mummy had no choice but to buy it after that and carry it all the way home for me. I even laid down on it again when we were on the bus home and the other passengers laughed. They said I was very clever choosing such a nice bed/chair for myself.
Got to go and check out what Mummy is doing now. She has just bought a tin of white paint and has her brush out so I will need to supervise and make sure she does the job properly.
