I am getting really bored it is Sunday afternoon and I have no-one to play with. So I am back on my laptop writing up another page so you know how I feel.
My daddy is working on his computer must be writing another book the time he has been on there lately. My mummy has taken her granddaughter (my Niece) Emma swimming down in Bucksburn. I thought a burn was a small stream and the only stream I have seen here is so shallow even I could walk across it without getting my belly wet.
I know mummy would not lie to me but I am confused. We have a lovely shower here in my kennel so why are they going to the baths and leaving me at home?
To be honest I don’t really like going swimming. Even during my patrols of the area looking to see who is in the neighbourhood I walk around any rain puddles. I don’t want any undesirables coming within two or three streets of our Kennel. I have to look after and defend my mummy so I take these walks seriously.
You won’t catch me on patrol in a silly panda car like the police do (see alongside). I want to near the ground sniffing out potential baddies so I can arrest them before they can do any wrong. It was part of my initial training to be a plain clothes officer. Who would ever guess they would recruit and train a Jack Russell puppy to be their top dog?
I have already solved more cases than Inspector Morse ever did! Trying to beat Batman’s record before applying to join the CIA and put them all to shame. Did you see me on CrimeWatch last week?
I am going to play with my ball on my own for ten minutes or so. See if I can pester Daddy to have a break for a while.
If not, I will go and rest to save up some energy so I can really have a go at Emma and mummy for going out without me. I will make them feel so bad they will have to take me to Westburn Park down in Aberdeen and run around with me.
Have you noticed I am getting better at spelling? Well that is not quite the full truth but my private secretary has finally worked out how to use the auto-correct facility on the computer.
